Join locals at the lively market

Ludwigsburg is in the heart of SouthWest Germany, the country’s sunniest region. No wonder this busy market offers an array of top quality fruit and vegetables, cheeses and sausages. Not forgetting glorious flowers! With organic breads and rolls, as well as delicatessen stalls, making up a picnic couldn’t be easier.

Few markets have such an elegant Baroque setting. The Market Square, with its churches and colonnades, is where locals have always met up for a chat. So, do as they do. Stroll through the 35 or so stalls; chat to the stallholders (many speak excellent English); enjoy a coffee or a beer at one of the outdoor cafés; sit and watch the world go by.

The market is open year round. On Saturdays, the heart of Ludwigsburg is even livelier with 30 more stalls set up outside the town hall.
