For 12 days (late May through early June), the square in front of the town hall turns into a vast beer garden. Locally-brewed beers are the focus of this traditional festival, but with regional wines, soft drinks and coffee, everyone can join in. Food is hearty and delicious, from ribs and burgers to Dinnede, a delicious Ludwigsburg specialty, like a pizza, baked in a wood-fired oven. And there is live music – of course! Golden oldies to rock, pop heavy metal and New German Wave.
